Doors Open for Trybrid Month as First Hybrid Tourer Released Trybrid month is well underway at Greenhous Toyota. As a hybrid pioneer, the innovative manufacturer is keen to push the boundaries of electric technology and as a result, the Toyota hybrid family is growing ever stronger.

Trybrid month is a great opportunity to find out what driving a hybrid is really like and Greenhous Toyota are opening their doors for customers to try out the range while their car is valeted. With the new Auris, Prius and Yaris all available, the smooth and refined experience of driving a hybrid is now more accessible than ever.

Never the type to shy away from breaking the mould, Toyota are offering the world’s first full-hybrid compact estate and Greenhous have already started taking orders of the British-built vehicle.

The Auris Touring Sports Hybrid was launched by Toyota last month and follows on from the latest generation Auris hatchback. It is the first compact family tourer to offer the choice of a full hybrid powertrain – and with clever hybrid system packaging, there’s no compromise in loadspace.

Carl Jenks, sales manager at Greenhous Toyota, said “The Auris Touring Sports really is incredibly practical. With emissions of 85-92g/km and a fuel economy of 70-76mpg, it is efficient, economical and extremely eco-friendly.

“With unsightly box-like designs a thing of the past, hybrids are becoming strong competition for alternative mainstream motoring and the Touring Sports, with its low and sporty shape, is up there with the best estate designs of the moment.”

Class leading luggage capacity combines with unrivalled functionality offering the space and versatility to match the Tourer’s dynamic and distinctive design. With the rear seats in place there are 530 litres of space and with the seats folded down, the space increases to a best-in-its-class 1,658 litres.

The Auris isn’t just available in a 1.8-petrol Hybrid, but also in Active, Icon, Sport and Excel trimmed models which include a 1.3 petrol with 98bhp, a 1.4 diesel with 89bhp and a 1.6 petrol with 130bhp. All have six speed manual boxes and sequential automatic transmission.

Carl continued “The Touring Sports Hybrid is the first of its kind and Greenhous are thrilled to have already sold the first one in the county. We believe electric and hybrid cars are the future of driving and the latest hybrid release from Toyota is one to watch.

“With Trybrid month taking place until the end of August at Greenhous, customers are welcome to visit the showroom to test out the latest hybrid range from Toyota while we valet their car for free.”

The Auris Touring Sports comes with 0% APR, a five year warranty and an eight year warranty on the hybrid system along with 10% benefit in kind. On top of this, an £1,000 finance deposit allowance is available when financed through Access Toyota.
