Greenhous Take Toyota to the Square in Shrewsbury After the recent success of the Renault display at the square in Shrewsbury, Greenhous have made another appearance with a selection of Toyota vehicles.

With ‘Trybrid’ month coming to an end, the Shropshire and West-Midlands based Motor Group took along a Toyota Yaris Hybrid and an Aygo to the centre of town last Friday allowing customers to view the vehicles up close.

With more electric vehicles available than ever before and with Toyota’s reputation as a hybrid pioneer growing stronger, ‘Trybrid’ month gave customers the opportunity to fully experience driving a hybrid. Greenhous Toyota opened their doors for customers to test out the hybrid range while their car was valeted for free throughout the month of August.

Carl Jenks, sales manager at Toyota Greenhous, said “The event in the square was a great opportunity for people who may not be actively looking for a vehicle to get a firsthand experience of the latest Toyota models.”

The Yaris Hybrid is Toyota’s first hybrid entry into the supermini segment and at £14,995 is the cheapest full hybrid on the market. Uncompromising on size, the Yaris feels roomy not only as a passenger with extended leg room, but also in the boot.

With a light 1.5 litre automatic petrol engine, compact electric motor and battery pack; the Yaris delivers a seamless, quiet and incredibly efficient drive. Up to 81mpg, 79 g/km and free road tax makes the Yaris Hybrid the obvious choice for those who want an economic drive.

Carl continued “Trybrid month was a great way for people who are thinking of taking the step into the world of electric driving to experience it without having to make a commitment. The fact we cleaned their car for free whilst they had a test drive was an added bonus!

“Overall the month was extremely successful and the amount of customers who came in and took advantage of the offer just proves how seriously people are beginning to take electric driving. Toyota has always been ahead of the game when it comes to hybrids and we are certainly seeing a rise in demand for them.“

Alongside the Yaris, the Aygo also took to the square last week. The stylish supermini has always been popular within the segment and because the manual shift version emits less than 100g/km of CO2, there is no road tax to pay.

Both vehicles are available on 0% finance and free insurance for a year as well as a five year standard Toyota warranty.
